Port Elizabeth police are searching for two suspects following a house robbery in Beachview on Monday.
Colonel, Priscilla Naidu, said the two unknown men allegedly broke into an elderly couple's home at around 5 am on Monday morning.
Naidu said it is alleged that the 72-year-old woman and her husband were sleeping in their bedroom when they heard a noise from inside the house.
She said after hearing the noise the elderly woman went to investigate and saw the two suspects, wearing balaclavas, walking up the stairs.
Naidu said the complainant then shouted and the suspects, armed with knives, pushed her into the bedroom.
The suspects took jewelry, a laptop and fled the scene.
The couple was left unharmed.
