PE police search for missing fisherman

Port Elizabeth police were searching on Sunday for a man who went overboard from a fishing vessel off Pollok Beach on Saturday evening.

Spokesperson, Capt. Sandra Janse van Rensburg said a helicopter and the National Sea Rescue Institute were assiting in the search.

She said crew members informed the skipper of the vessel just after midnight on Sunday that the man was missing.

Janse van Rensburg said the 39-year old was from Kwazakhele, Port Elizabeth.
