PE police search for Helenvale shooter

 Port Elizabeth police are searching for a gunman who shot and wounded two people in Helenvale late on Sunday afternoon afternoon.

Police spokesperson, Warrant Officer Alwin Labans, says the gunmen fired eight shots, hitting a 22-year-old man in the hands, thigh and stomach.

He says a 53-year-old by-stander was also wounded in the shooting incident.

Labans says the alleged shooter is known to the police.
