Port Elizabeth police are investigating three house robberies in the past 24 hours.
Police Spokesperson, Captain Sandra Janse Van Rensburg says two university students had laptops and cellphones stolen during robberies at two student digs in Summerstrand.
She says police are probing a possible link between the two cases.
In a third incident, Janse Van Rensburg, says two men were arrested in Mount Road on Thursday morning, following a home invasion in Middle Street.
She says a third suspect dropped a laptop during the robbery and fled.
Janse Van Rensburg says the two arrested suspects are due in court soon.
Meanwhile, Janse Van Rensburg says five suspects were arrested by Mount Road Cluster police following a high speed car chase that began in Westbourne Road in Central and came to an end in the Deal Party vicinity.
She says a police patrol had stopped a car to check particulars when it sped off, sparking a high speed chase.
Janse Van Rensburg says the car, used as a so-called jikileza taxi, was hijacked in the Algoa Park area at around six o'clock on Wednesday.
