Port Elizabeth police are investigating cases of murder after three bodies were found in the city at the weekend.
Spokesperson, Colonel Pricilla Naidu says the body of a 45-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the head was found lying in a street in Bethelsdorp on Friday.
The deceased was identified as Daniel Rousouw from Hoffman Street in Arcadia.
Naidu says late on Friday evening, the body of an unknown man was found in Military Road in Central.
She says he was severely assaulted.
In the third incident, the body of an unknown man was found at the corner of Cape Road and Rink Street early this morning.
Colonel Naidu says the victim was seen running across the road and he allegedly robbed a pedestrian of his cellphone.
The robber was chased by unknown people and when they caught him, he was severely beaten.
No arrests have yet been made.
