Police in Port Elizabeth are investigating a vigilante murder after the burnt body of a man was discovered in Motherwell on Friday morning.
Spokesperson Captain Andre Beetge says the 20-year-old Luzuko Simanga was woken up by someone he knew at about 3 am and according to a family member he then left the house.
His body was found in the nearby bushes just 300m away from his house.
Beetge says Simanga was accused of stealing power cables and allegedly set him alight with burning tyres.
Police condemned the attack in the strongest terms.
