Port Elizabeth detectives are seeking the community's assistance following two separate murders in Bethelsdorp and Walmer on Monday night.
Colonel Priscilla Naidu said in the first incident, the body of a 29-year-old man was found lying in a street in Booysens Park.
The victim, Thembinkosi Mahlati, had been shot several times.
Colonel Naidu said the motive and circumstances surrounding the murder are being investigated but that its not believed to be gang related.
In the second incident, a 35-year-old man was gunned down in his shack in Airport Valley, Walmer.
Colonel Naidu said two men appear to have broken down the door of the shack and argued with Babini Dinge about drugs.
They shot Dinge in the upper body and fled the scene.
