Two Port Elizabeth men have been arrested for allegedly plotting to rob a business in Zwelitsha, near King Williams Town.
Police spokesperson, Lieutenant Siphokazi Mawisa, says one of the suspects was wounded in a shoot-out with police while the second man was injured when he jumped out of the moving car.
She says police were acting on a tip-off when they followed a suspected robbery gang traveling in two cars near Mount Coke on Thursday.
Mawisa says police cornered two suspects near Ziphunzana where the shoot-out occurred while five other suspects managed to evade police by speeding off in another direction.
The two suspects in custoday, aged 28 and 30, will appear in court on Monday.
