PE man tied up while girlfriend is raped

Port Elizabeth police are investigating a case of rape and robbery on the Addo Road in Motherwell.

Police spokesperson, Constable Mncedi Mbombo, says a 45 year old man and his 42 year old girlfriend were sitting in a car on Monday morning when three men armed with knives forced them into nearby bushes.

The suspects tied up the man before two of them raped the woman.

Mbombo says the suspects fled with three cell phones and bank cards belonging to the victims.They were disturbed by a Stock Theft Unit vehicle which was patrolling the area and fled on foot.
