PE man still missing after 44 days

The 55-year-old Adriaan Francois Scheepers

It has been 44 days since a Port Elizabeth man walked out of his rented flat in Sherwood, never to be seen again.

The 55-year-old Adriaan Francois Scheepers was reported missing by his landlord on the 30th of September when he did not return home after two days.

The landlord was suspicious as Scheepers left his scooter, which was his only mode of transport on the property.

According to detectives, Scheepers switched off his phone and no activity was registered on his device since the day he disappeared, there was also no money drawn from his bank account.

A police spokesperson Captain Sandra Janse van Rensburg says police started searching for Scheepers in the areas around his house and later expanded their search with the K9 Unit, as far as Van Stadens.

Police have now issued a different photograph of Scheepers in the hope that someone will recognize him.

Police are appealing to anyone who can assist in locating Adriaan Scheepers, to urgently contact Kabega Park Detectives on 082 442 1282.
