A 24-year-old Port Elizabeth man has been killed in front of a school in the latest gang shooting in the city's Northern Areas.
Police spokesperson, Colonel Priscilla Naidu, says Reagan Wild, sustained gunshot wounds to his hand and neck during the attack in Helenvale early Wednesday morning.
"At this stage the motive and circumstances of the shooting is not known. Wild was taken to hospital but succumbed to injuries in hospital. The Provincial Gang Investigation Unit is investigating a case of murder," Naidu said.
"Police are appealing to anyone who can assist them in the investigation in tracing the suspects to contact them on the anonymous Crime Stop number on 08600 10111 or the nearest police station or the Commander of the Provincial Gang Investigation Unit, D/Lt Col Mike Grobler on 082 442 1825," Naidu said.
