PE man shot dead in Jeffrey's Bay

Eastern Cape police are searching for an armed man, after he allegedly shot and killed another man in Pellsrus, Jeffrey's Bay in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Spokesperson, WO Gerda Swart says the attacker approached a group of 5 men, who were walking in the direction of the beach at around 1.30am.

She says the man pulled out a firearm, and shot a 24-year old man at short range.

He died at the scene.

Swart says no-one else was injured, and the suspect fled the scene on foot.

The motive for the attack is not known.
