Port Elizabeth police are investigating a murder in New Brighton on Sunday afternoon.
Constable Mncedi Mbombo says it is alleged that a 21-year-old suspect stabbed a 29-year-old man to death in Dora street just after midday.
He says the victim sustained several stabbed wounds to the upper body, and died at the scene.
Mbombo says the motive for the murder is still unknown.
He says police also found six rounds of live ammunition in the suspect's room.
The suspect was arrested and he will appear in court soon on charges of murder and unlawful possession of live ammunition.
