The search is still continuing for a 28 year old man from Port Elizabeth who went missing after wading into the sea when he was swimming near the harbour on Saturday afternoon
Spokesperson for the NSRI Craig Lambinon says the man was last seen in the water between Kings Beach and the harbour.
The NSRI, police and the municipal emergency services responded to the call and a thorough search took place.
According to friends of a 28-year-old Port Elizabeth man the missing man had waded into the sea and was believed to have swum out to the vicinity of the harbour wall.
A friend had last seen the man as he disappeared around the curve of the harbour wall and out of sight.
The missing man's father has been located by police and is receiving trauma counselling
