A Port Elizabeth man is expected to appear in court on Monday, following a wild chase through the city in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Police spokesperson, captain Sandra Janse Van Rensburg, says he faces two charges of attempted murder, theft of a motor vehicle and reckless and negligent driving.
She says the attempted murder charges relate to his alleged attempt to ram a police vehicle twice during the chase, which started in New Brighton and ended at the bus terminus in Strand Street in the city centre.
Janse van Rensburg says the truck was allegedly stolen from a business in Old Grahamstown Road.
A youth, believed to be around 13 years old, was also in the truck with the suspect.
