PE man dies in hospital following early morning accident

Police in Port Elizabeth are investigating a case of culpable homicide following an accident on Wednesday morning on the corner of Stanford and Lindsay Road, opposite the Livingstone Hospital.

Police Spokesperson Colonel Priscilla Naidu says it is alleged that the driver of a taxi disregarded the robot and collided with the driver of a BMW.

She says the 48-year-old Eugene Draghoender was treated on the scene and taken to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

Naidu says both drivers were alone in their vehicles when the accident happened
