An elderly Port Elizabeth man has died in a fire which engulfed his home in the Rocklands area.
The victim has been identified as 74-year-old Johan Potgieter.
According to the police members of a private security company were patrolling the area early on Monday morning when they noticed that a house was ablaze.
The fire department was contacted but, by then, a section of the house had already been destroyed.
