One of the two South Africans killed in a terror attack in Mogadishu, Somalia, on Thursday was from Port Elizabeth.
State arms company, Denel, identified him as 53-year-old Alan Simpson, who was a maintenance manager at the United Nations compound where Denel had been providing maintenance services.
Spokesperson, Vuyelwa Qinqa, says the other victim was 42-year-old Morne' Lotter from Oudtshoorn.
They were among the 15 people who were killed when fighters from the Islamist group, Al Shebab attacked the UN compound in the Somali capital.
Qinqa says officials from Denel will be meeting with the families of the victims today to make arrangements for the repatriation of the bodies.
