Port Elizabeth police have arrested two suspects for the attempted murder of a man who was shot several times during a house robbery.
Police spokesperson, Captain Andre' Beetge, says the arrests were made early on Friday, following Thursday night's attack on the 33-year-old man in his home in Vuzi Street in Joe Slovo West, Kwadwesi.
He says three armed suspects entered the man's house at around 11 pm and robbed him of personal belongings.
In the process, the victim was shot three times by the men who fled on foot.
He was rushed to hospital by family members where he is receiving treatment.
Beetge says swift action by police led to the arrest of the two suspects while the third accomplice is still at large.
The two will appear in court on Monday.
