A 19-year-old Port Elizabeth gang member has been jailed for an effective 12 years following his conviction for murder and two counts of attempted murder.
Police spokesperson, Colonel Priscilla Naidu, said that Augusto Kamfer, was sentenced in the city's Regional Court on Wednesday.
He was arrested two days after he and another man opened fire on two men in a yard in Bongo Street in Helenvale in August 2017, wounding two men.
As they fled they also fired shots at another man, Andrew Rosenberg. who was standing at the gate of a house in the same street, fatally wounding him in the head.
The court also declared Kamfer unfit to possess a firearm.
The second shooter is still at large.
