A Port Elizabeth woman who was a fugitive from justice for nearly a year is back behind bars.
Rhonda Zeelie was arrested in Port Elizabeth on Friday after being found guilty last September of fraud involving an amount of R479 942.
She was out on bail of R2000 pending sentencing in October 2019, when she vanished.
Zeelie, who had been employed as an accountant at a PE company, had misappropriated the money by unlawfully transferring it to her personal bank account between 2017 and 2018.
She is expected to appear in the PE Commercial Crimes Court on Monday for sentencing and will face an additional charge of contempt of court.
