A 44-year-old man charged with distributing inappropriate nude pictures of his eight-year-old twin daughters is expected to again appear in the Port Elizabeth Magistrate’s Court on Monday.
The man, who is from Lorraine in Port Elizabeth, cannot be named to protect the identity of his children.
He allegedly distributed naked images of his daughters online. It is understood that close on 300,000 images and videos have been confiscated and have since been sent for forensic analysis.
The accused faces three charges which relate to the creation, distribution, and possession of child pornography, which falls under a schedule five offence. He was arrested more than a year ago by members of the police family violence, child protection, and sexual offences unit.
The charge sheet alleges the man was found in possession of child and baby pornography stored on his laptop.
The accused is out on R10,000 bail.
