Port Elizabeth police are investigating a case of business robbery at a Creche in Central.
Spokesperson, Warrant Officer Alwin Labans says it is alleged that the 24-year old complainant and her 22-year-old colleague were still working on Saturday afternoon, while there was still a child in one of the rooms.
He says a man, dressed in a black jacket and black pants, wearing a red cap, entered and demanded money from them.
Labans says the victims tried to push the door closed, but he overpowered them.
He says the suspect took baby clothes and two cellphones and fled on foot.
No-one was injured during the incident.
Labans says the suspect is unknown and anyone with information can contact the Humewood police station.
