PE couple to apply for bail after alleged rape of foster child

A Port Elizabeth couple accused of raping a 14-year-old girl are expected to apply for bail today.

The 38 year old man and 37 year old woman from Rowallan Park have been in custody following their arrest on the first of March.

They were arrested by the Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit after the girl's school raised the alarm.

The girl and her nine year old brother have since been placed with family outside Nelson Mandela Bay.
