Port Elizabeth police are investigating a case of murder and a separate case of attempted murder following two incidents over the weekend and on Monday.
Police spokesperson, Constable Mcedi Mbombo, said that the body of a 19-year-old man was found at the intersection of Veeplaas and KwaMagxaki.
He said Sihle Mafiyo had several stab wounds to the body.
Mbombo said that a knife was found next to his body.
Meanwhile, Mbombo said police in Motherwell are investigating a case of attempted murder after a 38-year-old taxi owner was shot by an unknown suspect.
Mbombo said the man was on going to collect a fare in Walmer when the suspect fired several shots at his car in Nyara Street, Port Elizabeth, on Sunday afternoon.
Mbombo said the 38-year-old man was rushed to the Motherwell Health Centre and later transfered to Livingstone Hospital.
No arrests have been made.
