Port Elizabeth police are investigating a case of murder after human bones were found inside a burnt vehicle in Addo road on Wednesday morning.
According to Constable Mncedi Mbombo the car was found one kilometre away from PPC Cement Company.
Mbombo said it is not clear at this stage whether the skeleton is male or female.
Anyone with information regarding to case is urged to contact the nearest police station.
"At this stage we don't know the motive for this incident. No arrests have made yet but a murder case is registered for investigation" he said.
