A 44-year-old Port Elizabeth man facing three child pornography charges has been released on R10 000.
He appeared in the City's Magistrates Court on Friday.
The man, whose identity cannot be released, was arrested on Wednesday by members of the Family Violence, Children Protection and Sexual Offences Unit.
He is facing charges of manufacturing, possession and distribution of child pornography.
The case against the suspect was postponed to the 31st of January, 2017, for cyber analysis of his digital equipment.
Meanwhile, An Eastern Cape men has been handed two life sentences for rape in the Willowvale Regional Court.
Police spokesperson, Captain Jackson Manatha, says 24-year-old Thokozani Siwendu was sentenced on Wednesday for the 2013 attack on a 64 year old woman.
He says Siwendu is already serving two life sentences and 47 years imprisonment for other rape charges.
