Port Elizabeth police are on a manhunt for two men who shot and wounded an employee of a pet shop in Burt Drive early on Wednesday evening.
Captain Sandra Janse van Rensburg says the incident happened at closing time.
The employee was closing the gate to the premises when two men started shooting, wounding the man in the buttocks.
The attackers fled immediately and nothing was taken from the business.
Janse van Rensburg says the casual worker was not seriously injured but that an attempted murder docket had been opened.
