A Port Elizabeth businessman has pleaded not guilty to a charge of culpable homicide when his trial got underway in the city's magistrate's court.
Forty-three-year-old Raven Rungan is also charged with two counts of driving under the influence of liquor.
The state called three witnesses on Monday, two of whom were present at the scene on the day that Muir College learner, Anre' Grobbelaar, was killed in Circular Drive in 2010 after being hit by Rungan's luxury German car.
Rungan is the owner of V&R Auto and also owns a tow-truck business in the city.
