PE boy dies in house fire

Port Elizabeth police have opened an inquest docket after a four-year-old boy died in a fire at a house in Aubrey Street in Gelvan Park.

Police spokesperson, Captain Johan Rheede, says two other children survived Tuesday morning's blaze but were rushed to hospital by ambulance for further treatment.

He says a woman also survived the incident.

The cause of the fire is not yet known and will be the subject of an investigation.
