Port Elizabeth police have opened a culpable homicide docket after a motorcyclist was killed in a collision on the N2 near Deal Party on Saturday night.
Police spokesperson, Captain Sandra Janse Van Rensburg, said that motorcyclist was involved in a collision with a bakkie on the freeway.
She said the motorbike caught alight and the rider, Jason Joshua, died on the scene.
Janse Van Rensburg said that the driver of the bakkie lost control of his vehicle which landed on the opposite side of the freeway.
Two occupants in the bakkie were taken to hospital for treatment.
Earlier, we reported that at least 13 other people were killed in accidents reported over the weekend.
