Patensie man arrested for allegedly killing his wife

 A 70-year-old Patensie man has been was arrested for allegedly murdering his wife.

The incident occurred late on Thursday afternoon when a neighbour heard a commotion at a home in Prince Street, Ramaphosa Village, Patensie.

Police say that when the neighbour went to investigate, he found the man holding a knife and sitting on top of his 67 year-old wife who was bleeding profusely.

An ambulance and police were summoned but the woman died on the scene.

Her husband was arrested at the house and will appear in the Patensie Magistrate's Court soon on a charge of murder.
