Pastors meeting at PE Spur, robbed at gunpoint

A group of five pastors have been robbed at gunpoint during a regular business meeting at the Cape Road Spur in Port Elizabeth.

Colonel Priscilla Naidu says a suspect occupied a table near to where the pastors were seated at lunch time on Tuesday and were then joined by three accomplices.

Colonel Naidu says they pulled a gun and demanded money from the pastors who told them they did not have any cash on them.

She says the robbers then fled with two bags containing documents and a cellphone.

No shots were fired and no-one as injured.

Silver Cloud Spur Owner Keith Fourie says he was in his nearby office when he saw something untoward happening on his CCTV cameras.

He says he ran down to the store where three men came running towards him with a firearm threatening to shoot him if he did not get out of their way.
