A decomposed headless body was found by a passerby in an area in Great Brak River.
The body was so decomposed that police were unable to identify the corps.
Parts of the corpse as well as clothing pieces were found hanging on a tree nearby a dam in the Greenfields area.
The head of the body was found on the ground.
Police members searched the area and an identity document was found on the scene. The possibility exists that the body might be that of a 42 year old resident from the area who was reported missing in November last year.
A forensic team took DNA from the corpse which was sent away for analysis. In the mean time police opened an inquest docket pending the DNA results. Police say at this stage no foul play is expected until they have the results of the DNA
