Willowvale Police have arrested and charged a 40 year old suspect for the rape and murder of a 14 year old girl. He's due to appear in the Willowvale Magistrate's court on Tuesday.
It is alleged that the suspect went to the homestead of the victim at Matanzima Location last Friday evening where he beat her with a stick before dragging her into nearby bushes.
The girl's body was found by community members the next morning and identified as 14 year old Dokhasi Ncancayi.
Community members also caught the suspect and handed him over to police.
Police captain Jackson Manatha says the suspect was out on parole after serving seven years of an 18-year sentence for the rape of his ten year-old niece.
