Convicted killer Oscar Pistorius will be back in front of the Parole Board this month for a decision on whether or not the so-called Blade Runner can be freed.

Pistorius was jailed for killing his girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp on Valentine’s day ten years ago.

He spent some time at St Albans Correctional Centre in Gqeberha two years ago, to take part in a “victim and offender dialogue” with the Steenkamp family, June, and Barry.

The 'VOD' process was launched nine years ago in an attempt to assist offenders to be re-integrated into society.

The legal representative of the Steenkamp family, Tania Koen, told Algoa FM News that the family would get another opportunity to make representations to the parole board, either in writing or via Zoom.

Pistorius has already served seven years of his 15-year sentence.
