Port Elizabeth police are searching for two men who opened fire on the occupants of a car in Newbolt Street, in Neave on Wednesday morning.
Four men were on their way to work when two men emerged from a grassy area at a nearby train crossing and opened fire.
Police spokesperson, captain Sandra Janse Van Rensburg, says the driver of the vehicle was wounded and admitted to hospital.
Algoa FM News visited the scene where the bullets shattered the rear and driver's side windows. Several bullet holes were also observed on the car's body.
Police says the motive for the shooting remains a mystery.
