Police have arrested a suspect following an armed robbery at a financial institution in Misgund in the Langkloof.
Police spokesperson, warrant officer Gerda Swart says several armed suspects entered the institution at around 11:00 on Tuesday and took an undisclosed amount of cash.
Swart says the suspects fled in a VW Golf in the direction of the Western Cape.
The vehicle was later spotted on a gravel road in the area of Avontuur where one suspect was apprehended. The other suspects fled on foot into the surrounding bushes.
