Port Elizabeth police have arrested a suspect on a charge of murder and attempted murder following a suspected gang related shooting in Jacksonville.
Police spokesperson, Captain Sandra Janse Van Rensburg, says a 28-year-old man was killed and another man wounded when the gunmen opened fire outside a house in Bamboo Street on Monday night.
She says the 28-year-old victim was hit in the head and chest and died on the scene.
His friend was shot in the abdomen and taken to hospital.
Janse Van Rensburg says the 28-year-old alleged shooter was arrested in Standford Road near Helenvale late on Monday night.
