Police have opened a culpable homicide docket following a horror accident in Gqeberha (PE) on Thursday night.
Spokesperson, Captain Sandra Janse Van Rensburg, said two vehicles, a VW Citi Golf and an Isuzu bakkie collided head-on at the corners of Kragga Kamma Drive and Tulip Avenue, Sunridge Park.
“The driver of the VW Golf, Tiaan Van der Westhuizen (33) passed away on the scene. Both drivers were alone in their vehicles,” she said.
Janse Van Rensburg said the driver of the bakkie had already been transported to a hospital prior to the police’s arrival.
