Police have launched a manhunt for the suspects who robbed a shop in Mossel Bay on Thursday, and shot two people in the process.
Spokesperson, Warrant Officer Kappie Kapp, said the incident took place at a business in Marlin Street in extension 13 when four men entered and reportedly fired shots.
He said when police arrived on the scene they found a 65-year-old man lying wounded in front of the store, while a 36-year-old foreign national was found wounded inside the store.
Kapp said according to witness reports four unknown men fled the scene after multiple shots were fired at about 19:50.
He said the two wounded men were rushed to hospital where the 65-year-old man died of his wounds while the other victim was transferred to a hospital in George.
The deceased was subsequently identified as Nazeem Petersen.
"The Da Gamaskop SAPS deployed all possible resources to assist with the ongoing investigation.
