One arrested in PE baby investigation

Port Elizabeth police have arrested a suspect as part of the investigation into a baby who was dropped off at the Mount Road police station on Friday.

Spokesperson, Captain Stanley Jarvis, says the child's mother and his caretaker who dropped him off at the police station, were released after questioning, but a 29-year old woman was arrested late yesterday.

He says the suspect is in custody at Mount Road police station, and will appear in court on Monday on a charge of perjury.
