Offices of Access Management raided by Hawks

The chairperson of the Nelson Mandela Bay Ratepayer's Association, Kobus Gerber says the Hawks raided the offices of the operator of the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium, Access Management on Thursday, following a criminal case opened by them earlier this year.Gerber says the Association, together with Afriforum, laid a charge of corruption in January, saying that Access was being used amongst others, for channeling taxpayer's money to the EP Kings.

"Following the investigation of the Ratepayer's and Afriforum in 2014 it all came to a point where we had to clarify information. In our affidavit to the High Court and SAPS, they had to raid the Access premises to get copies of information on documentation and hard drives on computers. This is a follow up to get to the point where we would see arrests and people held accountable for taxpayer's money being mismanaged and abused" he said.
