OCGT at Coega to be connected "in the next 12 months"

Eskom’s Transmission Development Plan 2015-2024 says an Open Cycle Gas Turbine plant at Coega will be connected at the Dedisa substation within 12 months - with the capacity to integrate 173 megawatts of power.
The cost of the plant is put at R2.7 billion.
Meanwhile, the Transmission Development Plan stats that approved wind projects in the Eastern Cape amount to just over 1000 megawatts up to Round 3 of the Renewable Energy Independent Power Producer Procurement Programme.
The department of Energy says the successful bidders in Round 4 are to be announced shortly.
