A fisherman from Thembalethu in George is presumed to have drowned after he was swept off rocks while fishing.
NSRI spokesperson, Craig Lambinon, says a search was conducted on Thursday by their volunteer crew and police, including the use of a fixed wing aircraft, but the fisherman was not found.
The search continued for the man, who's in his fifties, continued today but still without success.
Lambinon has issued the following caution to rock anglers.
"We are continuing to caution anglers as well as bathers to be aware of the spring tide which happens twice a months at full moon and then again at new moon bringing a higher than usual high tide and lower than usual low tide" he said.
