No bail for PE rape suspect

A Kwazakhele man charged with the rape of a four-year-old girl, has been denied bail in the Port Elizabeth Magistrates Court.

During evidence in his bail hearing earlier this week, the man, who is HIV positive, cited his and his father's ill health as the reasons for him seeking bail.

He's accused of raping the child last month at the home of a family friend in Kwazakhele.

His case was postponed to the 22nd of September.
