NMBM: Gelvandale reservoir is currently empty

The Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality says the Gelvendale reservoir is currently empty.

Spokesperson Mthubanzi Mniki says this is due to a problem with the pumps supplying the area.

He says staff are on site attending to the problem.

Water tankers are being deployed and residents are encouraged to contact their Ward Councillors for their exact location.

The following areas are affected:

• Gelvandale
• Hellenvale
• Parkridge
• Kwazhakele
• Parts of Zwide
• Parts of Algoa Park
