The Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality's Employee Wellness Centre has been closed until further notice, after one of the nurses at the Centre has tested positive for COVID-19.
The Metro said in a statement on Sunday that the Centre was undergoing decontamination and deep cleansing as part of health protocols that needed to be followed.
It said those who had been in direct contact with the nurse were advised to inform their immediate supervisors, get tested and stay in isolation for the next 14 days.
All employees who were scheduled to attend the Wellness Centre for screening prior to commencement of duty, are advised to not visit the facility until a clear directive has been confirmed by the Municipality.
