Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality says its bulk resevoirs remain critically low.
In a statement the Municipality said it had electricity problems Friday night in Nooitgedacht which had since been restored.
“As a result the Motherwell reservoir is low and will experience low pressures in Motherwell Nu 9 and the high lying areas in Motherwell,” the Metro said.
“We have increased production from Lorrie. This meaning we are taking more water from the dam that is already under 20%.”
“We continue to encourage communities to cut back consumption and use water for only basic needs.”
