Nelson Mandela Bay Metro says the number of active Covid19 cases in the Metro has passed 2 513 as of the First of November.
Eight hotspot areas have also been identified.

Disaster Management head, Shane Brown, says the situation is concerning for the Municipality as the number of Covid19 related deaths stood at 1 189.
Meanwhile, The Nelson Mandela Bay Metro Police and the South African Police Service are working together to clamp down on Covid-19 non-compliance social gatherings.
Non-compliance social gatherings have been highlighted as a contributor to the rise in positive cases.
